Abstract
Programming Error Messages (PEMs) are often misunderstood by students who then miss the opportunity to benefit from them. We have developed and used ’error hunt’ lessons using Java, Python, and C PEMs. The activities are supported by videos. The materials are targeted at novice programmers.
